Inner Flowering

A Ceremony for Beltane and the Blossoming of May

Thank you for your interest in the Beltane Ceremony.

Unfortunately due to a recent spell of illness that lasted for a few weeks I have made the difficult decision to cancel this Beltane Ceremony. I look forward to seeing you at another yoga class or event soon.

Much Love

Fay

Location: Ashton Court Manor

Ashton Court Estate, Long Ashton, Bristol, BS41 9J

As the earth tips fully toward the light and spring reaches its fullness, we gather to honour the ancient spirit of Beltane and the Blossoming of May — a celebration of flowers, vitality, beauty and the blossoming of life within us.

Inner Flowering is a ceremonial gathering inviting you to pause, reconnect with the rhythms of nature, and gently awaken the flowering of the heart. Held within the magnificent gothic rooms of Ashton Court Manor — with carved wooden walls, high ceilings and stone fireplaces — this space offers a beautiful setting for ritual, practice and community. Through yoga, sacred plants, sound and altar creation we will move through a guided ceremonial journey celebrating renewal, nourishment and connection.

As the light returns and the sun begins to pour into the space, something gently shifts. The hall fills with warmth, the trees grow greener, and life begins to gather again — people resting on the earth, flowers quietly opening, the season turning in its own soft rhythm. Alongside this beauty, we also hold an awareness of the wider world — its complexity, its tenderness, and its challenges — which makes it feel all the more important to create spaces where we can come together. Spaces to pause, to breathe, to reconnect. To share in simple offerings — tea, song, conversation, ceremony — and moments of presence, gratitude, and care.

At the heart of this gathering is a weaving of yoga, sound, and ritual. I will be holding the sound as an offering — a deep Rose heart resonance — inviting a gentle opening within the chest and a softening into feeling. This is supported by an altar of Rose & Water, and sacred plant teas that encourage grounding, heart opening, relaxation, and subtle expansion. Together, these elements create a space that is both nurturing and spacious, allowing the body and nervous system to settle, restore, and receive.

Yoga has opened a path of deep connection and community for me, and this offering is a way of giving something back — creating space for rest, renewal, creativity, and the awakening of our intuitive life force.

Woven through the experience is a subtle thread of awareness — exploring the flower chakra system and unfolding into body wisdom, the grace of spirit, and the essence of the soul. Through breath, movement, and practices inspired by ancient lineages, we are invited into remembrance — into deeper connection, rest, restoration, and release.

The Spirit of Beltane and the Blossoming of May

For eternity Beltane has marked the turning of the seasons — when the earth bursts into colour and life.

It is a time traditionally associated with flowers, fertility, celebration and joy.

This gathering honours that moment when the northern hemisphere moves fully into warmth and light, inviting us to recognise the same blossoming within ourselves.

The Ceremony

Our morning together weaves movement, ritual and sound into a gentle yet powerful container for connection, renewal and inner flowering.

Held within the extraordinary landscape of Ashton Court — land shaped over thousands of years, with traces of human presence reaching back to pre-Neolithic times — we gather amongst ancient trees, including oaks that have stood for centuries. This deep-time presence offers a quiet grounding, a reminder of continuity, resilience and the living rhythm of the earth.

Within the gothic manor, light pours through tall windows onto carved wooden walls and stone fireplaces, holding the space with a sense of warmth, stillness and reverence.

You are invited to enter the Rose & Water — a symbolic and sensory field of heart, flow and subtle awareness.

Here, yoga and sound become a conduit for listening.

A stream of awareness moves gently through the body, like water — softening, opening, and revealing the quieter layers of our inner landscape. Through this softening, we create space for deeper feeling, for release, and for the natural flowering of the heart as we move toward the fullness of the summer season.

At the centre of the gathering is a held field of sound and altar.

Sound is offered as a deep, heart-resonant experience — through gong, voice and subtle vibration — supporting the nervous system to settle, restore and open. This is not something to “do”, but something to receive — an invitation into stillness, integration and inner connection.

Alongside this, the Rose & Water altar becomes a living focal point for the ceremony — a place of beauty, devotion and reflection. Through flowers, water and sacred gesture, we honour both the outer landscape of the season and the inner landscape of the heart.

Together, these elements support a return to presence — to the body’s truth and the quiet wisdom within.

The ceremony will include:

• Opening circle and seasonal intention setting
• Ceremonial sharing of cacao, rose and blue lotus
• A heart-opening yoga practice — Adornment of the Soul
• Gong sound meditation and integrative rest
• Rose & Water altar and ritual space
• Flower, food and water blessing ritual
• Time for community connection and gentle nourishment

Each element is designed to support softness, awareness and the unfolding of inner flowering.

This is an invitation to pause.
To soften.
To reconnect with the rhythms of nature and the blossoming within your own heart.

As the earth tips fully toward the light and spring reaches its fullness, we gather to honour Beltane — a celebration of life, beauty and vitality, and the awakening of what is ready to bloom within and around us.

I would love to share this space with you.

With warmth, gratitude and love,
Fay 🌹
